How to Get Free Rides AnyWhere You Travel

It’s easy to be featured in the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. I was, once. It’s true. Right about when all those “Andre the Giant” posters and Verizon 3g EVDO was spreading like BP’s failures, I started a website about the future of wireless internet. How I got the attention of all the big boys was by launching a guerilla campaign just like “Andre the Giant” BUT without the legal liability or the staples or glue.

I went to the mecca of techa and set the home page of every single browser in the San Francisco Apple Store to my website. Yep. Shortly there after, BoingBoing, Engadget, DIGG, Etc, started talking about me.

Recently, I tried to get a ride from a Hostel in Seattle. I put up a note on the bullitin board. I sat in the lobby about 30 minutes staring blankly at the flyer I’d plastered on the board. Sadly, nobody else did.

So instead, I just wrote a blog post and did V2.0 of the Apple Store Guerilla Insurgency. I set all the homepages of all the browsers of all the computers in the hostel to my blog post. I got a ride.

But more importantly, I got an idea. I built http://StapleGlue.com so that you can plaster a ride share, missed connection, or event hive flier all over the place without any staples or glue. It only takes one click. See Mine:

This is a functional alpha version. So you’re seeing my new web app before anyone else (who hasn’t seen it =p! =)
