I really don’t ever know how to entitle these web strategies. I mean, one simple strategy can kill so many birds that I get confused as to whether you prefer turkey, chicken, quail, or duck. So let’s just serve all four.

The bottom line is that you want traffic. For every five hundred or so views to your website, you’ll likely produce one sale.

We’ve already discussed why it’s wisest to use Youtube videos as your Google Page One bait. So now we have to move forward and ask, “how do I get more inbound links to each of my youtube videos?” The more links you have to each video, the more popularity Google’s algorithm attributes to you. The more popularity you get, the faster you float to the top of Google Search Query results. The effect compounds as more people will suddenly find you and add even more links to your videos.

So now that we’ve asked the question, the answer is more simple and elegant that you’d ever imagine. I let Google add links to my videos for me. In fact, I let commenters and Google auto add links for me. This is how.

1. We know that every time someone leaves a comment, Youtube sends you a comment notification with video link via email.

2. So use Gmail so that Google can spider your inbox
for links and figure your Youtube notifications into their ranking of your videos. But why stop there?

3. Multiply your link power by starting a Google Groups.
Name it exactly what you want to show up #1 in. I picked “Taoist Immortality”  Now, every 3 minutes, somebody is making a new inbound link for me by doing nothing more than just commenting. Notice the time stamps to see how often I get a new and freebee inbound link:

4. Customize your “welcome page” and your “groups email footer.”
I put the url of the video I want in the #1 spot of Google in each email for maximum spider love.

5. MOST importantly, Your Youtube channel becomes just like a Posterous blog now.
All of your subscribers will now get a summary digest of ALLLLL of your your comments – not just the replies to them directly. Builds community and teamwork.

BONUS: To Make WordPress comments automatically create back-links for you…

1. Create a Google Group named the exact SEO term you want.

2. Make your wordpress admin email address an admin in your new Google Groups

3. Set up an auto forward filter in Gmail to auto email every APPROVED comment
a) you do this by only forwarding emails from wordpress@yourdomain.com IF
b) it contains the phrase: “You can see all comments on this post here”
Otherwise, you’ll get a whole schissa load of Russian Spam. Well, atleast the women they send over are beautiful! Kinna makes up for it… o_O
