Hi Liz,

The purpose of amassing friends in Facebook or followers in Twitter is simple... To create a community of people who are interested and passionate about sharing and spreading thoughts

What's your goal here? What's the purpose of accumulating friends that you have absolutely no connection to, nothing in common with? Is there a contest or something? Because I don't see the value in having "friends" whom you don't even know.

Thank you for this information. I personally don't ask for friend request myself. I have created my own strategy that works as well. I have 3000 plus friends and get at least ten friend request a day. Now I am being very selective with whom I accept as a friend hence the 5000 friend limit. I know I can get a fan page but truthfully I am not excited about maintaining it.

On the other hand I would like to learn more on how to increase my subscribers on you-tube. My profile is a deserted island with no coconuts if you know what I mean.
